THE NAME
The name Original Sin comes from the biblical story of The Fall of Man. Adam and Eve ate from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil and their eyes were open, revealing their nakedness for the first time. They made coverings to hide the nakedness.
THE LETTERS
The concentric layers of black and white letters represent the unity of chaos and order. One cannot exist without the other and from these elements God created the world by using His Word. To live meaningfully is to walk the path between the borders of these two domains.
THE NUMBERS
The 3 crosses stand for the Holy Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
THE COLORS
The crosses are dyed red representing the sacrificial blood of Jesus. White characterizes chaos and black characterizes order.
THE SYMBOLS
The letter I's in the name are replaced by crosses to confess that God is greater than the individual self.
Jesus was crucified along with two thieves, the thief to his right chose to repent and accept Jesus as his Lord and Savior. The one to his left refused and cursed Jesus, leading to his eternal damnation.
